The New York Piano Society, Inc., is a non-profit organization dedicated to discovering and developing talented pianists whose primary professions or fields of study are in non-musical areas. NYPS provides its members with opportunities to perform in major NYC concert venues and alongside distinguished artists.
Founded in 2005 by pianist Elena Leonova, NYPS presents gifted pianists who are medical professionals, mathematicians, office workers, lawyers, and executives. NYPS cultivates their musical development through public recitals and workshops. NYPS members are frequently joined on stage by celebrated instrumentalists, singers and orchestras.
